Surprise teacher!

There once was a silly teacher

Only crazy crafts could please her

She opened her big mouth and said,

“Yederaa, it’s puppet making day!”

The children with big eyes did stare,

And gulped and shouted, “Ottokeh?”

She showed them how by demonstrating

The cutting and gluing and decorating.

They all did a great job and had a ball

And listened to the teacher call.

“Yederaa, let’s put on a puppet show!”

“Wheh! Andeh!” they cried, and hid behind the window.

(Korean translation: Yederaa = Come children, everyone; Ottokeh? = How?; Wheh? = Why?; Andeh = Oh no!)

She couldn’t believe it when I told them that we were going to make sock puppets.

A very patriotic puppet peeks from the puppet theatre.

I heard a loud, “kimchi!” and turned around just in time, luckily with my camera ready!
